This peda is made from buffalo milk and there is no adulteration in it. This is the reason why it is so tasty that people become its fans after eating it.
Actually, the business of making peda has been going on for the last 70 years in Madwadi locality of the city. The business of making peda was done by late resident of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Dhuramal Sharma had started it. Now his two sons Jagdish Sharma and Jhabar Sharma are also engaged in the business of making and selling Peda. Now the third generation Bhipeda is earning well by joining the business.
Khoya is prepared from pure milk to make Peda.
Jagdish Sharma told that the specialty of the peda made here is that khoya is prepared from pure buffalo milk. The peda making families here have developed a unique and traditional method of making this peda. In this method, buffalo milk is cooked for several hours and then it is cooled and mixed with sugar and other ingredients. After this, this mixture is poured into a plate and pressed with hands to give it a round shape. The peda here is sweet and smooth. Whose taste is different.
There is demand for Gopalganj tree even abroad
Businessman Jagdish Sharma said that pure and quality Peda is given here, in which there is no scope for adulteration. Once you eat the peda here, you will feel like eating it again and again. People come from far and wide to eat Peda. The Peda here is in demand in foreign countries also. From here they take people to Saudi Arabia, America and other countries.
The main reason behind Peda going abroad is that most of the people here live in other countries. Whenever we come here, we do not forget to take Peda with us. He told that 25 to 30 kg of peda is made daily and it also ends every day. Whereas peda is sold for Rs 500 per kg.
